Palolem Beach (Canacona) – 2020

Palolem Beach lie-down in Canacona region of southern Goa in India. The Beach is clean and well maintained. At the Beach, People live in shacks along the shore or in the main village. Palolem beach is about one mile long and is in crescent-shaped; one can view the entire coast from either end. Both ends of the Beach consist of rocks jutting out into the sea. The depth of the sea increases gradually, being shallowest at the northern end of the Beach, making it safe for average swimmers, and the currents are not fast. the Beach attracts many international tourists, mainly during the winter season between November and March. Palolem Beach (Canacona) – 2020: Where It Is?

The Beach is located in Canacona region of south Goa. It is lie-down within 2.5 kilometres of the market town of Chaudi in South Goa. It is about 40 minutes away from Margaon, the district headquarters of South Goa. Other neighbouring beaches in South Goa are Agonda Beach and Patnem Beach. Agonda beach is also a must-visit place if you are in the region. I would strongly recommend you to visit Agonda beach also.

The nearest airport to reach Palolem beach is Dabolim airport. It is around 67 km away from the beach. The nearest railway station is Canacona. One can be reached from the Madgaon junction to Canacona in just 30 mins. There are bus services every half an hour between Palolem beach and the KTC Bus Depot in Margaon. The nearest KTC depot is at Canacona. Palolem beach comes under the list of 20th best beach in Asia and the fifth-best beach in India by TripAdvisor.
